Q & A On The Brother Home Embroidery Machine

Question:

I am a beginner in embroidery. Will I figure out this brother embroidery machine?

Answer:

This machine is easy to use with simple to follow instructions.  Just takes a bit of practice. Watch the video above to see just how easy it is.

Question:
Is the Brother Embroidery Machine compatible with both Windows and Mac Computers?
Answer:
The machine does not operate hooked up to a computer. You load any new embroidery patterns (any that did not come with the machine) from a USB memory stick so your operating system is irrelevant.
You would download embroidery patterns onto a memory stick and then plug the memory stick into the embroidery machine.
Question:

Can I make my own designs?

Answer:

The machine will allow you to use your own designs as long as they are PES or DST files. But to create your own designs you would need software that you can digitize a design and then import them into your USB.
Brother does sell software or there are numerous apps available online. But this machine will not let you digitize directly on the machine.
Here is an example of one you can purchase.
Question:
Why is this product so much cheaper than the Bernina or the Janome?
Answer:
This is to keep things simpler. Remember that the more expensive machines are more complicated to learn, and the more things there are that can go wrong.
Some of the more expensive machines also have bigger hoops and can do much bigger projects at one time.
The PE770 is a perfect brother home embroidery machine to start with.
