If you are an avid scrapbooker, you will no doubt know that the most popular layouts to do are the 12 x 12 layout size, but doing some 8 x 8 scrapbook layouts is also a lot of fun. Here are some 8 x 8 scrapbook layout ideas to try out when you are feeling creative again.
The 8 x 8 scrapbook layouts are becoming increasingly popular, because they are less time consuming and require less materials to complete.
If you are strapped for time and want easy scrapbook layouts, I want to show you examples of 8 x 8 scrapbook layouts that you can achieve quickly and easily with packages that are made up in the hobby shops for your convenience. It took me less than two hours to get a wonderful 8 x 8 scrapbook layout with this type of kit.
I was lucky to get an All Occasions package similar to the ones at the bottom of this article as a gift from my brother in LA. It was a mixture of papers and stickers that you can use for 8 x 8 scrapbook layouts.

Some 8 x 8 Scrapbook Layout Ideas
I decided to do my daughter’s 4th birthday photographs and cards. I started by measuring the width of the widest birthday card and cutting a pocket for the cards to fit into, as you see on the left-hand side of the layout. I then used some scrap green cardstock to frame the sides of the pocket and add a bit more strength to the pocket.
The leftover piece of patterned paper was used to decorate the second page of the layout. I decided not to mount my photographs so they took up a lot less space. I trimmed the corners with a fancy corner punch instead.
After arranging the photographs and adhering them to the page, I used the letters within the 8 x 8 scrapbook layouts and adhered them with foam to the page to make them stand out from the photos. I used the brown patterned paper that was included in the kit to frame the letters of the word ‘family.’
I finished off my 8 x 8 scrapbook layout by using some glitter glue to frame the photographs on the right-hand side of the first page, and also some of the letterings on the page on the right-hand side. The only other embellishments that I used were some stickers that came with the kit.
So easy scrapbook layouts can be achieved in record time using bought kits, and I still had enough left over to do another three 8 x 8 scrapbook layouts.
I didn’t use their example but simply designed my own page using their papers. Of course, if you copy their suggested layouts, it will be even quicker.
